Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust office car park has been given a much needed make over with the help of Wetherby’s Stonewool Insulation and Silicone Render.
The office space runs directly above the car park and after numerous complaints from office workers about the cold temperatures through the flooring and the car park itself requiring some attention to bring it up to current building regulations it felt like the right time to tackle both with some vital refurbishment works.
Wells and Mundy were contracted to carry out the works and it was clear from initial inspections that the soffits on the underside of the car park were not performing and had deteriorated over time. Therefore, Wetherby’s 100mm Stonewool Insulation was specified to rectify these issues.
Wetherby’s Stonewool Insulation is a consistent density, high strength, rock mineral wool slab with a water-repellent additive specifically designed for use in external wall insulation systems. With Krimpact technology it means thermal performance can be maximised whilst also ensuring it has increased long term compressive strength capabilities and high impact resistance making it ideal for use behind our Silicone 1.5mm ‘k’ Render.
With a dramatically reduced U-Value calculation of 3.32w/m²K to a remarkable 0.25w/m²K the office workers will see a notable difference and benefit from a warmer and comfortable office environment.
