Wetherby’s Epsitec system for sheathed Timber Framed buildings is suitable for new and existing domestic or non-domestic buildings up to four storeys in height.
The certificate provides a range of insulation options to be used including; Wetherby’s Epsitherm (enhanced EPS), expanded polystyrene (EPS) and phenolic insulation. Epsitec rails are mechanically fixed to the sheathed substrate to create a cavity to protect the timber frame whilst ensuring the thermal benefits of the system are maintained. The reinforced basecoat and silicone render provides a flexible high impact finish, ideal for timber frame projects.
The key factors assessed to achieve the certification were thermal performance, strength and stability, behaviour in relation to fire and risk of condensation. The system also ensures durability, that the system will remain effective for at least 30 years.
Technical Manager , Joe Ragdale commented “This certificate helps to complete our range of systems, we now have BBA accreditation options on masonry, steel frame and timber frame substrates. This is a great option for new build housing and the system already holds NHBC approval.”
