Applicator Training Days

The Wetherby Applicator Training Days are becoming overwhelmingly popular and have been designed primarily as an awareness course, to offer experienced personnel a comprehensive overview of the material components required along with the application methods of a number of Wetherby external wall insulation systems and decorative renders.

At present, these courses are strictly open to candidates with proven plastering or rendering experience and who are looking to upskill, but it is highly likely that we will develop this area further in the future and offer courses designed to meet the needs of candidates with lesser experience.

Course Duration & Location

Our one day courses are currently held at locations in the South East, North West, West Yorkshire and South Wales and involve a short introductory presentation followed by approx. 5-6 hours of practical hands-on training.

The practical sessions can often be tailored to suit the group’s individual needs and will usually cover insulation board fixing, basecoat application and one final finish, from a choice of silicone thin coat render, dry dash, brick slip or brick effect render.

Cost

Our one day courses are currently chargeable at a rate of £150.00 + VAT per person with lunch and refreshments included in this cost.

Booking a Training Day

Should you wish to book a training day, please complete the form below indicating total numbers of operatives requiring training, level of experience,which finish is required etc and you will be contacted by our training administration team with details of the next available date. Once this is agreed, payment will be taken and confirmation details sent out, which will include course agendas, maps and location details, local hotels & amenities etc. Please make sure you have read our cancellation policy prior to confirming your booking.

NB: As we have a number of systems and try to offer candidates a bespoke approach, we tend to group ‘like’ delegates together and insist upon a minimum of 6 before a course can go ahead. Maximum 12 delegates on any course. For this reason, you may be placed on a short waiting list until a suitable course date becomes available.

Cancellation Policy

Places on Wetherby training courses are strictly limited, so we therefore operate a cancellation policy regarding refund or transfer of course fees. Once you have received confirmation of your place on the training course you will be liable for the whole fee unless we receive written notification of cancellation.

- For bookings cancelled two or more weeks before a course is due to start, 80 per cent of course fees paid will be refunded or transferred to another course.
- No refund will be made for bookings cancelled less than two weeks before the event, except in exceptional circumstances and then only at the discretion of a Director. However, we will consider transferring the course fee to another course, less an administration fee of 20 per cent.
- No refund will be made for non-attendance on the course.

In the event of cancellation of a training event by WBS, we will endeavour to inform all participants two weeks before the course is due to take place, although please be aware that this is not always possible. In this instance, all course fees paid will be reimbursed in full, but we are unable to reimburse any other costs that may have been incurred, including flights, accommodation etc.

Where dates are varied by Wetherby, course participants may request a full refund if the new dates are not convenient.
