NIA offers guidance on Green Deal Cashback Scheme

Following queries received from their installer members recently about how they can access the Green Deal Cashback Scheme, the National Insulation Association have recently provided some basic guidance on how to proceed.

The Government has made available a first tranche of £40m in cashback incentives for householders via the Green Deal Cashback Scheme.

The process for obtaining the cashback is similar to the process for Green Deal with the exception that the customer does not have to take out Green Deal Finance to obtain the cashback: o   A Green Deal Assessment must be carried out o   The works must be

Wetherby Fishamania!

Wetherby invited a number of E.ON personnel and subcontractors involved in a number of the current Wetherby/E.ON contracts to a fishing match on Friday 14th June, at the Cudmore Fisheries, Staffordshire.

10 Anglers took to the water for a 6.5 hour match, with the competitor catching the most weight taking overall first place.

After a particularly slow start, (in the pouring rain) the finalists on the day were:

1st Place:    Paul Kirby – (Wetherby) – 35lb 2nd Place:  Steve Onions – (E.ON) – 20lb 3rd Place:   Ken Ireland – (Wetherby) – 19lb

Energy Saving Measures in Kirkby

Wetherby is proud to have managed one of the biggest private housing regeneration projects under the Community Energy Saving Programme (CESP) scheme.

The £15.5m scheme, initiated by Wetherby, has now seen more than 2,000 homes in Kirkby, Merseyside installed with energy saving measures including EWI, loft insulation and economic boilers to provide private homeowners with significant reductions to their energy

Project managers, Wetherby worked alongside Knowsley Council in order to fulfil the programme, with funding derived from a variety of energy companies.

Success at GreenBuild

Last month (8th May 2013) saw Wetherby staggered by the interest from visitors at the Greenbuild Expo, one of the biggest sustainable building events in the UK.

Exhibiting for the third year, the Wetherby stand was constantly three people deep, with the team not only responding to enquiries for new projects, but also discussing partnerships with funding providers, installers and training providers.

The UK’s newest sustainable building and refurbishment exhibition, the Greenbuild Expo is an essential event for those in the construction industry, offering an insight into all aspects of sustainable building from training opportunities and renewable technologies

EPS colour contamination not an issue!

Wetherby have had recent reports of their standard white EPS being manufactured with a small contanimation of grey neopor bead.

The company has investigated this further and can confirm that the contamination is purely aesthetic and has absolutely zero negative effect on the performance of the board.
