Green Deal on the up with 18,816 Assessments lodged to date

The Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC) has published the latest statistical release highlighting the positive uptake of the Green Deal scheme so far.

This month’s release presents the third set of statistics on the Green Deal for the domestic sector and the Energy Company Obligation (ECO). This release includes summary figures on the number of GD Assessments, the GD supply chain and information on ECO brokerage, all to the end of April 2013.

Congratulations to Housing Excellence Award Winners!

Last night saw the 10th Anniversary of one of the most prestigious awards in the social housing calendar.

The Housing Excellence Awards, organised and orchestrated by Excel Publishing, highlighted and rewarded the vast range of UK wide companies who are currently leading the way in the social housing sector.

Wetherby were extremely proud to have presented the award for ‘Best Partnering Scheme’ which was won by ‘Building Lives Training Academy’, a unique London based employer-led training provider, whose aim is to close the gap between training and employment.

Wetherby recognised in Sunday Times ‘Profit Track 100’

Wetherby Building Systems (Wetherby), the UK’s leading manufacturer and distributor of external wall insulation systems, is celebrating after being recognised in the Sunday Times Profit Track 100.

The Sunday Times Profit Track 100 league table ranks Britain’s top 100 private companies with the fastest growing profits. As it celebrates a significant increase in sales over the financial period 2010-2011, Wetherby has been included in the league table for the first time.

OFGEM have today issued the following press release with regards to failed targets:

Energy companies achieved 99% of government energy efficiency targets by December 2012 deadline. EDF energy, Eggborough power, E.ON and RWE npower have achieved all of their energy efficiency targets. Over six million energy efficiency measures have been delivered to consumers, but Ofgem has a statutory role to ensure timely compliance and is investigating those firms who have failed their targets. British Gas, Drax, GDF Suez / IPM, Intergen, Scottish Power and SSE will be investigated for failing one or more of their energy efficiency targets.
